Our neighborhood is full of fun and crazy people. There is always someone outside doing something picture worthy. If its not kids in cloaks running around with swords or the kids playing their make believe city, Crestimal, in the Bulgriens front yard, its Stephanie climbing the dogwood in her front yard at 8am just to see if she can!
On this particular day it had been raining for a few days. Kids couped up and bored out of their minds. Jasper came over and asked if Ethan and Isaac could get their umbrellas out and play in the rain. This day was warm and I thought it sounded fun. Steve was home early because his project was finished and I was making dinner. So the kids set out to play on Beth Rose's carport with umbrellas and rain boots!! About 15 minutes later Steve looked out the window and said "Kim and Stephanie are outside playing in the rain". I misunderstood and didn't pay it much attention. Not 5 minutes later, I heard a knock on my door and out on my porch stood a drenched Kim asking if I wanted to "Come out and play". I said "No thanks, I am not a water person" and stayed inside to finish dinner. I know, I know, how boring of me. I did however grab my camera to take pictures of the crazies getting drenched. They were having so much fun, I was sucked in. I went to put the camera up and came back out. Not 30 seconds outside and Stephanie dumped a 5 gallon bucket of water down my back and so the war began. We had so much fun. The kids thought we were the coolest moms ever!! The neighbors thought we were insane but I guess you need to keep them on their toes!! I only got a few pix but here they are....
